Works in Flux

Often our art doesn’t end up how we thought it would. An idea changes, we get stuck, something doesn’t work out or sometimes we pleasantly surprise ourselves with what we make.

Works in Flux is a live show bringing together artists making music and art in all sorts of ways and across all sorts of genres, for an evening of performances, music, videos, art and the stories behind the work.

Artists will let you in on how something started, how it developed, what changed, the challenges they faced and how they overcame them or are still trying to get through them.

Expect unreleased tracks, new directions, demos, videos, song breakdowns, a few admissions and more from Blue Niall, Commissions, Jiji F, Jillelli, Mickzart and Nala Fi, with photography by Julia Cuprina and art by Charlotte King and Annabelle O'Grady Kennedy.

Alongside the performances, we’ll get a glimpse into the creative process – the sketches, ideas, experiments, wrong turns and moments that eventually become the work.

An evening of music, art and stories from artists across various genres – because creativity is simply creativity and genres are a funny little concept…
