Thunderstorm warning in place for Galway and Mayo
A status yellow thunderstorm warning is in effect for Galway and Mayo.
The alert will last until 9 am, with Met Eireann warning of risks of spot flooding, difficult travelling conditions and lightning strikes.
It follows a similar warning for Cork, Limerick and Tipperary on Monday.
