Teenager dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary

A teenager has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred on the L4101 at Lanespark, Ballynonty, Thurles, Co Tipperary in the early hours of this morning.

The collision involved a car and occurred at approximately 3.45am.

The driver of the car, a male adult teenager, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Waterford University Hospital where a postmortem will take place in due course, gardaí said. The Coroner has been notified.

The road is currently closed for examination by forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling in this area between 3am and 3.45am this morning and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage...
