Google unveils new building as report finds they contributed €10bn to GDP in 2025
Google unveiled The Bakery, its newest building in Dublin’s Docklands, which is set to welcome Google employees from late 2027.
Google President and chief investment officer Ruth Porat joined Minister Peter Burke to open the historic building, marking the latest chapter in Google’s enduring and deep-rooted commitment to Ireland.
The announcement comes as an Implement Consulting Group report estimates Google’s economic contribution in Ireland at more than €10 billion in 2025 alone.
The Bakery, located on Grand Canal Street in Dublin at the site of the original 1874 City of Dublin Bakery founded by Patrick Boland, will add 325,000 square feet to its existing footprint in Ireland.
It will have capacity to accommodate up to 1,900 workers, part of Google’s 6,000 employees in Dublin, as well as a dedicated events hub.
