Man charged with dangerous driving over Skerries incident

A man has appeared in court charged with dangerous driving in connection with an incident in north Dublin over the weekend.

Four people, including three teenagers, were injured in an incident in Harbour Road, Skerries on Saturday night.

Gardaí said they had responded to a public order incident at approximately 9.45pm after “a large number of youths gathered and an altercation broke out”.

A spokesperson said: “During the course of the incident, a car drove at a number of people.”

Gardaí said three teenagers – two female and one male – were taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment with “non-life-threatening injuries”.

A fourth male was later reported to have been injured.

On Monday morning, 29-year-old Sean McGlone, of Beechwood Drive, Drogheda, appeared before Balbriggan District Court in connection with the incident.
